FUN WAYS TO KEEP COOL IN MYRTLE BEACH SUMMER HEAT

When someone is planning a house shopping visit or just wants to know what the weather is during the summer, my response is always the same, HOT! Some of you may be thinking that it's too hot, while others, (myself included) enjoy the heat. Let me be clear, I am not talking about being out in the sweltering heat being uncomfortable; certainly with the temps being in the high 90's with heat advisories it could be dangerous, so do please be careful. But, there are fantastic ways to stay cool and comfortable here in Myrtle Beach during the summer.

One of my favorite things to do is BOATING! I don't think there is anything more refreshing and relaxing to do on a hot summer day than going out on a boat. The breeze from the boat off of the ocean, river, or lake is very calming, and comfortable. The Myrtle Beach area offers any type of boat excursion or activity that you desire. Fishing, ocean sightseeing and dolphin watches, sunset cruises, catered dinner yachts, river boat rides, banana boats, and more. Let me not forget "The Big M", the floating Casino out of Little River, and the sunset cruise, is breathtaking and can be so romantic.

Another cool thing to do, especial if you have kids, is to go to one of the Water Parks here at the Beach. I have a confession, sometimes I take my niece and little cousins for an excuse to go, Lol. Floating in a huge lazy river, or splashing in a wave pool, F-U-N! Myrtle Beach.

Waterfront Dining is always nice. One of my favorite places is the Marsh Walk. There you will enjoy your choice of waterfront restaurants, mostly casual, relaxed settings, delicious food, great atmosphere. After dinner you can take a nice stroll as you take in the sights and sounds of local entertainment, and vendors. On the north end, Barefoot Landing, also has a wonderful choice of waterfront dining, as well as shopping and entertainment.

If it is just too hot to be anywhere outside before sundown, and you want to get out of the house, Plenty to do in the luxury of the A/C. The Ripleys Aquarium is always a great to visit, there is so much to see that multiple visits are encouraged. TopGolf just opened its doors in Myrtle Beach spring 2019, and has quickly become a favorite. It offers a great time for adults and kids. Even if you are not in to golf the atmosphere, and sports bar feel is great, not to mention, the food, and cocktails are amazing!
Yet of all of the ways to stay cool in Myrtle Beach in the Summer time, being on the beach at sundown is the absolute best.
