Buying Real Estate in Litchfield Beach

Litchfield Beach, also known simply as Litchfield, is an unincorporated community in Georgetown County, South Carolina. It is located 3 miles north of Pawleys Island and 18 miles south of Myrtle Beach. The community takes its name from Litchfield Plantation, a rice plantation founded early in the 18th century.
Newcomers and long-time residents rank safety, affordable housing and a slower pace of life as the top three reasons they call Litchfield home.  Other reasons include good schools, great shopping, family friendly community, active lifestyles, and quality health care.

Litchfield is a prime spot for golf enthusiasts, with numerous award-winning courses and a variety of resort, residential, and golf course communities.

Because of its proximity to the beautiful and private Pawleys Island, historic Georgetown, and bustling Myrtle Beach, Litchfield Beach real estate is a fine investment for primary residence or for vacation rentals.
